- My name is Jen Cooper. My journey into the field of learning and development began after I spent five fulfilling years teaching elementary school. The challenges of adapting to remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic led me to explore new avenues in education. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for instructional design. This field combines my love for teaching with the creativity of designing engaging and effective learning materials.
- I am interested in gamification because I want to make the training I do more engaging. I lead monthly new hire training and various other trainings with current employees. I am interested in how to use gamification to make my training more involved and entertaining.
- My top question is how to use gamification with adult learners. As a former elementary school teacher, I used various games and activities with my third graders. I bring a lot of skills with me from that career, and I always worry about treating my adult learners too much like kids.
