- I bet their food tastes good!
- There was a poor family who lived in a small town in the island of Luzon who always had a good time playing out in the sun and had a contagious laugh.
- Their coughing sounded like the barking of a herd of seals..
- I wonder what happened to them..
- They had a next door neighbor who is a very rich man, whose sons and daughters seldom came out of the house. His house was so tall that his children could look in the window of the poor family’s house and watched them play, or sleep,or eat, when there was any food in the house to eat.
- Now,this rich man’s servants were always frying and cooking something good, and the poor family was fond of the aroma of the food so they usually stood outside their house and savor the smell of it.
- You are accused of stealing the spirit of food of the wealthy family.
- What???!
- As time went on, the rich man started to cough at night; His wife and children began coughing too. The poor family wondered what happened because they knew that they were not sick from the lack of nourishment because they were still always frying something delicious to eat.
- One day, the rich man stared at the poor family horribly from the window and it seemed that he was condemning them. He noticed that the poor man’s children were so healthy, they are more robust and full of life even though they did not experience eating delicious foods while his children grew pale and thin and anemic even though they always have delicious foods.
- One morning, a policeman came to the poor family’s house with a sealed paper containing a complaint from the rich man. The poor family was accused of stealing the spirit of the delicious food that belonged to the rich family.
