- Chlorophyll is used in photosynthesis. It reflecs sunlight off of plants to give them a greenish look.

- Light Dependent reactions occur in the grana.
- Chloroplast is an organelle that converts light energy into chemical energy for the photosynthesis process. It holds a grana, thylakoid membrane, and stroma.
- Light Independent Reactions
- Light Independent Reactions occur in the stroma.

- Light Dependent reactions occur in the grana. They use energy from the sun to make energy-carrying molecules. (ATP & NADH). Light Dependent reactions release oxygen as a waste product.
- Light Independent reactions occur in the stroma. They use the energy from energy-carrying molecules from light-dependent reactions to make sugar. (glucose).
