טקסט Storyboard

  • Speed is the rate at which someone or something is able to move or operate. Velocity is the speed of something in a given direction. Motion is the action or process of moving or being moved. And distance is the extent or amount of space between two things, points, lines, etc.
  • Ms.Mitchell, I still dont understand. Can you give me some more clarification?
  • Of Course, Abby, lets start with speed first. Speed is how fast an object moves. An example is a car being driven at 60 miles per hour. This is calculated by distance divided by time.
  • Motion is the event in which an object changes its position over time. Motion described in terms of displacement, distance, velocity, acceleration, speed, and time. An example of motion is a snake going zigzag motion.
  • So, motion is a change in position compared in a place.
  • Velocity is the distance traveled in time in a given direction . An example is a car having a velocity of 60 miles per hour to the west. To calculate velocity you have to divide distance by time.
  • Basically, distance measures how far apart objects are.
  • Distance is how much ground an object had covered during its motion. An example is how I travel south of my house by car going 6 km and take 30 minutes to get to school, the total, distance travelled by car shall be 180 km. Distance is calculated by multiplying speed time.
  • Now I fully understand, thank you, Ms, Mitchell, you're the best teacher!
  • Correct, Abby and Tom, excellent job! So do both of you understand now?
  • Yes, thank you, Ms., Mitchell
