- Annemarie saw Mama lying on the ground outside. She fell and tripped because it was very dark and she couldn't see. Annemarie was very worried about her mama because she was gone for so long. Mama was delivering the Rosen's to Uncle Henrik in the boat. On the way back Mama had tripped and hurt her ankle.
- When Mama and Annemarie were walking back to the house, they noticed something on the floor. Peter had given Mr. Rosen a very important package that needed to be delivered to Uncle Henrik without any fail. Mr. Rosen put it in his pocket, and he wasn't told what was in it, and he didn't ask either. He had then tripped on the doorstep because it was dark, but Mrs. Rosen then caught him before he fell. The package must have fallen out, because it was still on the doorstep.
- Annemarie was then sent to deliver the package to Uncle Henrik by Mama. She told herself the Little Red Riding Hood Story on the way into the woods. She was running really fast, but didn't trip at all. Annemarie then heard growling in front of her, but she new there weren't any wolves in these woods. Soon, four Nazi solders were in front of her along with two growling dogs.
