- Capillaries dilate to let more white blood cells into the area. These white blood cells go to the wound area and remove damaged tissue and bacteria. Their nutrients and enzymes are what cause the swelling, heat, or pain in that area. After, the would is prepared to heal. Example Above: White blood cells are removing trees, rocks, etc make the landscape flat to prepare to build in that area.
- The would is filled with granulation tissue. It has newly formed capillaries and connective tissue. They ensure that the nutrients are supplied for the granulation tissue which is an important part of the would healing. Fibroblasts migrate into the would site and start to multiply. The would is made smaller by wound contraction by the myofibroblasts. Ex: Progress of the new park place being built.
- During remodelling, the fibers are re-orientated along the lines of tension and are closs-linked to form a strong wound. Known as a scab.Example: The remodelling phase of this picture is a finished built park place which started as a dirty empty piece of land.
