- The amendments are still recent news around town. Emily and Jane are talking about the recents changes while on their daily walk around the neighborhood. The began talking about the 2nd amendment.
- Can you believe that now with the 2nd amendment, anyone has the right to bear arms?
- Yes, I did. I heard it was because of citizens would be able to defend themselves with the recent violence.
- Hey, you know that thanks to the 4th amendment you cannot search his car without a probable cause?
- On their walk, they overhear a discussion between a police officer and a man. The police officer insisted on searching for the man's car, but there was no probable reason.
- You're right I guess I don't have a reason to really search your car, just be sure to not go too slow on these neighborhoods to avoid causing traffic
- Yes, officer will make sure not to do that again.
- Man, if those new amendments weren't here, the world would be chaos.
- Yeah, I had a friend who recently got arrested and treated horribly for a mistake. He was then charged a huge amount for bail, but then thanks to the attorney he was provided, he was able to get out of that mess.
- Oh wow, yeah sounds like the rights of the people are more guaranteed now than before.
- Yeah, I remember when they weren't allowed to protest because they thought it would turn into a riot. But now with the 1st amendment they have the freedom to assemble and fight for what they believe in.
- Yes, that is for sure. OH look, there's the house where that group of people gather to plant their protests.
