  • No! I will not accept acts of violence or disrespect. Miss April,you have been dismissed.
  • Hey! Because you are a member of a trade union, I believeyou should contact Mrs. Adams, our elected shop steward, who will be able to assist you.
  • That was an unjust dismissal; you were not at blame in this situation. Mr. Van de lander, our general manager, is to blame.
  • Good morning, Mrs. Paul. I was told you might be able to help me with a workplace issue.
  • Of course, please let me know what happened, and we'll take care of it from there.
  • In this scene, Miss April's supervisor informs her that she has been fired as a result of an altercation that he believes she started. Her supervisor didn't give her enough time to explain herself. Employers andsupervisors abuse employees, which can lead to workplace problems.

  • Miss April recounts what has transpired in this scene. Mrs.Paul then tells Miss April that she will take care of the matter and that shewill speak with her boss about it and get back to her.
