- Temple of Apollo in Delphi
- Oedipus was left on a hill after his parents ordered the servant to take him away. A shepherd that was passing by Thebes took the baby and gave him to the king and queen of Corinth.
- Oedipus grew older and stayed in Corinth, he decided to go to the temple of Apollo in the city of Delphi. The oracle told him that he was adopted and he could murder his father one day. Oedipus then realized that he could not go back to Corinth in case he would accidentally kill his father, so he decided to settle down in Thebes.
- You killed your father!
- As Oedipus was walking along the road to Thebes, an older man came up behind him and bopped him on the head with his walking stick. He got so mad that he killed the old man and his servants, except one of them.
- In Thebes, Oedipus defeated the Sphinx and was hailed as a hero and eventually crowned King of Thebes. Furthermore, he got to marry the queen of Thebes and conceived children together.
- Oedipus met a blind prophet, the prophet told him that he actually killed his father. He was very confused and told the Queen about the situation. Oedipus eventually realized what had happened, he rushed home to kill the Queen but saw that she already hung herself.
- Oedipus was very shocked and realized that the words of the blind prophet were true. He suddenly gouged out his own eyes, and as the King of Thebes, he banished himself from the city and took his daughters with him. Unfortunately, Oedipus was struck by a lightning bolt, killing him instantly.
