- Siddhartha Gautama, a young prince discovered that life is endless suffering after living a sheltered life.
- Life is full of so much suffering!
- Siddhartha came to the conclusion that all life is suffering and wanted to discover a way to overcome suffering.
- I should not be living in a life of luxury while there is so much suffering.
- Siddhartha gave up his life of luxury and meditated under a Bodhi tree and stayed until he found the answer.
- After meditating under a tree for 49 days, he achieved Enlightenment and became the Buddha.
- His teachings reached many people, explaining the 4 Noble Truths and preaching that life should be valued equally. His teachings oppressed the Caste System as it didn't treat everyone equally.
- Whatever the hierarchy, every person has an inner self that can shine forth. In order to end the suffering, you must follow the Eightfold Path.
- Buddha's teachings created great equality and created more opportunities for woman, being against discrimination it made religion and education more accessible for them.
