An object at rest will stay at rest unless a force moves it.An object in motion will stay in motion unless a force stops it.This is also called INERTIA.
It means, no matter how long you look or stare at this bottle, it will not move.
But, if I push, the bottle is forced to move.
Gravity
Unfortunately, it also means that the mess will stay there until we clean it up... And mom will be home any minute now.
