- The family is mourning because they think doodle is going to die, and they already had made a grave for him, but he does not end up dying.
- Climax
- I don't think I can keep going i'm tired
- The narrator cannot except the fact that his brother has a physical disability, and cannot walk ,and the narrator he already does not like him for this reason.
- Falling Action
- OMG No!
- One day doodle finds the scarlet ibis dead by a tree He is very sad about this even though is other family members could care less about the bird.
- Resolution
- This is all my fault
- It's the last of Doodles training, and he feel tired and weak, and he tries to tell his brother that he can't go on, but he just gets mad ,and they walk home. A storm starts so the narrator starts to run, but doodle cant keep up.
- Fine! We will go home then
- The narrator goes back for his brother, but finds him dead under a bush.
- The narrator tried so hard to make doodle walk and be normal that he ended up killing him.
