- Tom and Lily live where there has been no sunlight for years. They get married and decide to search for sunlight, but they have no idea where to go.
- Climax
- Tom and Lily end up in a town where their bike engine dies on them. Mr. Noakes offers them a place to stay and they accept. Tom and Lily tell Mr. Noakes about their quest to find sunshine, but he just laughs at them
- Falling Action
- An old lady accidentally leaves her purse behind and Lily wanted to return it. Tom and Lily venture into the woods and come upon the old lady's home. Her home is where the sunlight is. Tom and Lily found what they are looking for.
- Resolution
- Tom and Lily go back into town and run into Mr. Noakes. He notices that they have a tan and is curious where the sunlight is. Tom and Lily know they have to keep it a secret so they decide to lie and head back home
- Tom and Lily drove all the way home, forgetting her dress back at the cottage, but relieved that Mr. Noakes has no clue about the hidden sunlight. Tom and Lily can now live a happy life together
- Tom and Lily live happily knowing they kept the cottage a secret and safe from the wrong hands. They are at peace knowing the happy couple can live the rest of their lives without harm.
