טקסט Storyboard

  • In the year of the industrial revolution, Britain experienced a huge increase of the population. By 1841 their population was 15.9 million people.
  • Many people migrated from rural to urban Britain because there was more vacant job position so they could create more profit to improve their living conditions
  • Oh my god!
  • I can't deal with this!
  • However, child labour was very common - children as young as 5 would be sent to work 12-16 hour days
  • The street conditions weren't any better either. The common feature of the industrial cities was the construction of inexpensive and poorly built row housing intended for working-class people/families (made up of mud and bricks)
  • 8-10 people living in each house with each floor being very small (especially the kitchen and there were NO toilets) + poor water supply. Waterways were used for garbage disposal and human waste - which led to a river (created horrible carbon pollution)
  • Because of these living conditions, there was a result in an increase of crime rate - meaning more people ended up in jail then working positions
