- On January 20 the convention decrees the execution of Louis XVI. On the 21st people voted to find Louis XVI guilty. Another vote was held to figure out his punishment. He was then beheaded by the guillotine. In October of that same year, Marie Antoinette got beheaded as well with the guillotine.

- I'm the new leader!
- This was known as the "Reign of Terror' period of the French Revolution. It was a period of violence and conflict between two rivals. The Girondins and the Jacobins. Class division drove the two to have great conflict. If people didn't agree with policies from Jacobins club they got guillotined.
- The Thermidorian Reaction happened. It was a revolt against the government. It resulted in the fall of the Maximilien Robespierre and the collapse of revolutionary fervour. Maximilien Robespierre was overthrown and arrested by the National Convention. It was all triggered by a vote.
- Coup d'etat overthrew the system. Then, Napoleon was crowned emperor of France. The revolution was then over. This had a big affect on the on the end of the French Revolution. It had a big affect because the people were getting a new leader. France would grow strong over the years.
