- Ponyboy is a greaser, hes 14 and is the youngest out of his brothers. He likes to read and also enjoys going to the movies.
- Grab a Coke
- Johnny is 16 and is also a greaser, he has gotten into some rough fights with the socs. He's the nervous and quiet kid of the bunch and would never hurt a fly. Or would he?
- The fire
- Cherry is a beautiful red headed girl she's a cheerleader and she's a soc. Cherry also might find some attraction to Dally, her boyfriend is Bob
- Johnny's passing
- Dally flirts with Cherry, Cherry isn't too happy with it Dally offers a coke and she throws it on him.
- Dally, Johnny, and Ponyboy come back to get their things when they discover the church is on fire. The three heroes jump in to rescue kids but have some bad consequences.
- Johnny passes away in the hospital due to the bad things from the church.
