- The witches are mixing outrageous ingredient into their stew
- Macbeth goes to the witches for a second time. They tell him that he has to be aware of McDuff. The witches vanish and Lennox arrives, informing Macbeth that McDuff has fled.
- At Macduft's castle, Lady Macduff demands to knowthe reasoning behind her husband fleeing. Ross tellsher that he trusts Macduff's reason. Ross departsshortly before a messenger arrives and tells LadyMacduff to flee.
- After Lady Macduff and her son refuse to flee since they havedone nothing wrong. A group of murderers then arrive andannonce Macduff as dead. Once the son calls the murderer aliar, the murderer stabs him. Lady Macduff then flees with themurderers chasing after her.
- Outside King Edward's castle in London, Macdufflocates Malcolm. Malcolm is skeptical of Macdutf'sinnocence at first. But soon loses the scepticism.
- Malcolm and Macduff are talking, Ross arrivesto inform Macduff of horrible news that took placeregarding his wife and children. The trio then helpMacduff overcome the grief of the situation.
