- Me and my crew were about to set sail. We were going from Europe all the way to the new world to get riches. We were all worried about getting lost and that's when I remembered the compass. We had put all the supplies we needed on our ship. I myself made sure to put lots of fruits on the ship so might not get the disease called Scurvy. After we were ready we set sail the next day.
- After 4 days of sailing we seemed about half way there. I was about to go put the knotted ropes in the water to see how fast we were going when I saw it. A sea monster! I was so scared I couldn't move. I yelled to the rest of the ship to run and hide somewhere safe. The monster shot water out of its head just like they said. I ran and hid for hours it felt like. When I finally came out I saw the sea monster was gone. After that we kept sailing but were all nervous.
- We were almost there we could feel it. We were almost out of food and had very little left to drink. I got the weights to see if the how deep the water was. It was shallower then earlier which was good. It meant we were getting closer to land. We waited for hours then we saw the land! In twenty minutes we were there. We got off the ship and we all celebrated.
