- The Non-Volcanic Mountains, like the Himalayan Mountains for example, are not volcanic in general. These types of mountains wouldn't be formed if it weren't for the collision of at least TWO continental plates. The Non-Volcanic mountains also havethe same amount of density, because of no subduction.Every year, the mountains would also get bigger, due to the continents that are continuing to collide with each other.
