- Hey! Have you seen the prices of grocery items lately? It's crazy how expensive things are now!
- Yes! I know the prices of everything seem to be going up. I guess we just have to really ask ourselves if we need it or just want it.
- OMG those pancakes look soooo good! Want to get some?
- Stacy we really don't need pancakes right now. Remember how the prices have gone up? We need to save as much money as we can
- Of course! Sometimes we don't even realize that we are doing things that we don't necessarily need to do.
- Thank you for teaching me how to manage my money by realizing what I need and want. I truly didn't need those pancakes lol.
- Stacy and Amanda are talking about how the prices at the local grocery store have increased like crazy! Amanda proceeds to tell Stacy the difference between wants and needs. Now that the prices increased, they both need to find out what they will need versus what they want.
- Amanda would be so mad at me for buying all this stuff I don't need
- Stacy and Amanda were walking by a local bakery and Stacy saw pancakes and really wanted to get them. But Amanda reminds Stacy how much prices have increased and tells her she needs to realize her needs and wants
- Ice Cream sounds good... but only if it fits in the monthly budget
- Well.. I could be better. I bought a ton of items I shouldn't have because I didn't need them!
- As the girls walk along the shoreline, Stacy thanks Amanda for helping her know the difference between needs and wants. We humans don't need ice cream or pancakes but we sure do want them. So if we save our money and don't buy those things, we would have a little more money saved up.
- How have you been managing your money?
- Once Stacy arrives home, she sees a ton of deliveries and soon realizes that she doesn't need any of these items. She only bought them to fit in with the trends
- Amanda walks through the park thinking about what her grocery list is gonna be for the month. She knows she is going to need water, bread, and maybe some ice cream but she knows she doesn't need it.
- Amanda has been very good about her money and stays within her monthly budget. While Stacy has been exceeding her budget every month just to fit in with the trends on social media. This story shows how important it is to save as much money as you can and treat yourself at certain times.
