- -The Mauryan Dynasty was formed in 321 B.C.E. and it ended in 185 B.C.E.-The Mauryan Dynasty was India's first great empire.-Ashoka was made the ruler of the Mauryan Dynasty in 304 B.C.E. and ruled till 233 B.C.E.-It spanned across central and northern India as well as over parts of modern-day Iran.
- The Kalinga War
- Ashoka was the third emperor of the Mauryan dynasty, grandson of Chandragupta and son of the second emperor, Bindusara.
- Giving up War
- From now onwards, I give up fighting wars.
- The Kalinga War started in 261 B.C.E and ended in the same year.The Kalinga War took place in the State of Kalinga now known as Odisha. .
