- No, but most countries in the world have elections. All democratic countries have election. Some non-democratic countries also have elections.
- So, is there a difference between a democratic and a non-democratic elections?
- Yes, a democratic election is a real, true,better and fair election.
- So, what makes an election democratic?
- For an election to be democratic,firstly everyone should have the right to vote and each vote should have one value.
- Secondly, parties and candidates should be free to contest elections providing some real choice to the voters.There should be something to choose from.
- The elections should be cconducted regularly after every few years. The candidate preferred by the people must get elected.
- Thank you ma'am. I understood the difference between a democratic and a non-democratic election and the factors which make an election democratic.
- Finally the elections must be conducted in a free and fair manner where people can choose as they really wish.
