I've been impulsively buying designer items with my credit card and now I can't pay it back! I don't know what to do. I've gone into incredible debt.

I quit my job because I didn't want to work from 9-3 each day and now I have to sell my things to pay off bills such as my hydroelectric bill and my credit card debt.
I stopped paying back my credit card bills and started letting them pile up. Now I can't pay anything back, we are getting evicted, and my wife and kids are leaving.
In my late 50's I started gambling and now my wife and I can't retire.
When I first applied for a credit card, I was working as a real estate agent. I wasn't making much money and I just found out the bank is declining me a mortgage!
At 18, when I got my first home, I spent without thinking and used more money than I knew I could pay back. I just finished paying it all back last week. I'm 55 now.
