- Mr. Jones went to bed dunk, and forgot to lock all the animals up.
- Old Major, the boar (pig), had a dream that he wanted to tell the other animals about.
- All the animals gathered in the barn for a meeting once Mr. Jones went to sleep.
- Come on, animals! We need to have a meeting.
- We need to rebel against humans (Man). Humans are the reason we suffer. We are treated like slaves!
- Comrades (friends), listen to me. I am going to die soon. I need to tell you something very important.
- In my dream, there was a song. It is called Beasts of England. Let's all sing it together!
- Man is our enemy! We need to prepare for a war to get rid of Man!

- The animals sang Old Major's song over and over, until Mr. Jones woke up and shot his gun into the sky. Everyone went to sleep and left the barn quickly.
