  • Sara has been in tier 2 intervention for the last 4 weeks in English. Unfortunately, I have not seen the amount of improvement that we hoped. I need to email mom a copy of Sarah's test results from unit 3 along with a list of Sarah's vocabulary and grammar lists.
  • No, I haven't observed any behavioural problems in my lessons. I feel that Sarah needs more intensive exposure to the English language. I would like to trial Sarah in T3 interventions.
  • Hello, Mrs X. Have you received my eamil?
  • Yes, I'm looking at them now. Is Sarah not trying very hard in class? Do you think that this is a behavioural problem? She is still carefully completing her homework.

  • I would work with Sarah one-to-one. We will first look at areas of the last unit that Sarah has yet to master. I have identified that Sarah is struggling to grasp vocabulary and grammar which is causing a barrier for Sarah when we are looking at themes and concepts within the unit.
  • How is T3 intervention gonna work excatly?

  • Okay, I will have a discussion with the Head of Lower school and Head of the Art department.
  • No, I propose that Sarah is temporarily taken out of an enrichment class. Do you have a preference?
  • I don't want her to be taken out of music. She is doing so well with her piano lessons. What about art class?
  • Okay, when will this happen? Will she need to stay after school?

  • This is a list of Sarah's vocabulary and grammar lists. If these can be reviewed with Sarah at home it will be very helpful. Sarah can also makeup sentences using these words and grammar points, or tell you about her day using these words. I have also sent you a reading list and some online resources that will be beneficial for Sarah.
