- Exposition - Billy arrives at Bath.
- Try The Bell and Dragon, they might take you in. It's about a quarter of a mile along the other side.
- Excuse me, but is there a fairly cheap hotel not to far away from here?
- Rising action - Billy spots a notice
- Please come in, the room is ready for you.
- I saw the notice in the window, I was wondering about the room.
- BED ANDBREAKFAST B
- Rising action - Billy signs the guest book
- Please sign the guest book.

- That's funny, I feel like I heard these names before.
- He arrives at bath and asks a porter where there a cheap place to stay. The porter recommends Bell and Dragon and that it isn't that far. It is windy and the cold is night.
- Rising action - Billy sits down for tea
- Left? Dear boy, he's still here. Mr Temple too, their both on the 4th floor.
- Mr Mulholland was one great person for his tea he never stopped drinking.
- While making Billy was making his way to the Bell and Dragon he spots a notice. He feels compelled to enter and makes his way there. He rings the door and someone answered immediately he asks about the room and she already knows and lets him enter.
- Climax - Billy learns about the animals
- Atlas no longer it is alive. I did it myself I would do with all my animals once they pass. The dog is the same.
- Once Billy settles himself the Landlady continuously asks him to sign the guest book. Once he has a chance he does so, but something makes his stop. There were only two other names in the guest book and Billy thought the names were familiar.
- Resolution - Billy asks a question
- This smell reminds me of... pickled walnuts? new leather? corridors of a hospital
- After Billy signs the guest book he still wonders about the people but while the Landlady served the tea something about the tea was strange there was a weird smell. Billy thought it reminded him of pickled walnuts, new leather, or even corridors of a hospital. The landlady brings up one of the people and Billy thought that he left recently while the Landlady informs that he and the other man is still there at the 4th floor.
- I suppose he left recently.
- Billy brings up the animals though he thought that they were real and alive he questions the landlady on who did the job to preserve them. The landlady answers that the dog and the parrot are no longer alive. She also says that she was the one who preserved them and she would do it to all her animals who passed away.
- The parrot, you had me fooled I thought it was alive. Who did it?
- Billy asks if there were any other guest is the past three to two years. The Landlady gave a gentle smile and said that it was only Billy.
- Has there been any other guest in the last three to two years?
- No my dear. Only you..
