- In the Cask of Amontillado, you have Fortunato and Amontillado who are wine tasters who think their jobs are so important and that they are the best. Although Fortunato wants to kill Amontiato, he plans to murder him in the catacombs so no one can find him.
- Climax
- Fortunato tells Amontillado that there is a new wine tester that is better and that he is able to take his (Amontillado) place. Amontillado is very angry and is ready to go and fight him.
- Falling Action
- The rising action is when Montressor brings Amontillado to the catacombs to taste the wine and plans to kill him.
- Resolution
- The climax is when Montresor chains Amontillado to the wall and ignores his cry.
- The falling action is when Montresor hears Amontillado cry stop and hears his jingle bells off the top of his hat and then he throws a torch at him.
- The resolution of the Cask of Amontillado is when Montresor is suffocated by a wall that is built around him by Fortunato and his plan gets ruined.
