- Exposition
- The Lord of the Flies takes place during a war in Great Britain in the 1940's. The young boys were being evacuated from their school on a plane, but they were shot down, and landed on a deserted island with no rules, and no adults.
- When they get back from the expedition, Jack rats out Ralph for everything that he did along the trip, and suggests that he becomes chief. When no one responds, he storms into the woods to live away from Ralph. Eventually, with the promise of meat, hunting, and fun, he gets most of the rest of the boys to join his tribe, where Jack had full control, and savagery was their lifestyle.

- The pursuit heads to the beach, where Ralph and some of Jack's tribe run into a Naval Officer who saw the smoke from the jungle fire. As the boys reach a point of rescue, they looked back on what had actually happened on the island. Ralph included, many of the boys wept out ofshame and regret of what they did, and who they truly were when they were boiled down... savages
