- Plop, plop, plop I felt drops of sweat hit the ground. I stood up higher, trying to hide my sweaty hands and nervous body. I started pacing back and forth then I started shaking. This was during the science fair in 5th grade. I was going to join the science fair.

- Let’s start from the beginning. The teacher announced that there would be a science fair in school and the people who would get 1st, 2nd and 3rd places would get to compete against other schools in the district. I was alone for the fair, and had to think of a unique and original idea all by myself! I had to make a decision of what I was going to do for the science fair. I thought for a long time that I had got it, just two days before the DEADLINE. It was going to be, are dolphins smarter than humans?

- I started to work on it day after day, going to an aquarium and asking both humans and dolphins to do the same thing. Then the day of the competition, person after person had gone and were graded some low and some high when almost everyone had gone they came to me. Then I started to present, my hands and legs tenser than iron. Then it was over and then it happened so fast my mind did not realize. What had just happened…
