Fredrick feels miserable, he doesn't want to be control by covey anymore. He ran into the woods, he met Sandy Jenkins there, he give him a magical woods, to protect him. He realized he got to go back, because there are no foods in the woods.

Frederick returned to the field. It worked, for that day at least, but the next day Covey was in a bad mood. He grabbed his whip, Frederick was confident with the root though, and when Covey raised the whip, he was ready. He will no longer choose to say nothing, but fight.

After that, Frederick had been slave for 4 more years. He really want to escape. During that time, he had been annoyed by Mr.Covey, but never been whipped again.
I hope to escape this place as quickly I can.
