  • Hunters and Gatherers
  • I'm a gatherer. I gather vegetation to feed my friends. 
  • I'm a hunter. I collect fresh game and cook it for my friends. 
  • First Civilization: Ancient Mesopotamia 
  • We have plenty of food here, so me and my wife can raise children!
  • I am a young student training to be a scribe. I live in the center of houses, where my mom is playing with my brother.
  • Introducing Agriculture
  • We grow and harvest wheat, supplying the village.
  • Working hard in the farms all day is sooo TIRING!
  • Have a look at the Hunter-Gatherer cave, which was a common lifestyle for humans before civilizations prospered. People would hunt meat and gather plants that could be edible. They usually moved from place to place when all the resources of the current area had been gathered. It was a tiring and inefficient lifestyle.
  • Ancient Egypt: Pyramid/Pharaoh Tomb
  • NOO!!! THE PHARAOH!!
  • When a Pharaoh passes, we put salt and other herbs on his body before wrapping it up.
  • Ancient Mesopotamia, the first Civilization. People stopped hunting and gathering and instead decided to permanently settle in one place. They got their food from farming, which embraced agriculture everywhere. Many technologies were invented here that made life easier,
  • Ancient Greece: Athens
  • We sail to the ends of the world to get new ideas and spread it to our people!
  • Agriculture was introduced with the city of Ancient Mesopotamia. It was an efficient way of getting food. Agriculture was used in all the Ancient Civilizations, and used today as well. It played a big part in the development of the civilizations. If surplus food is grown, then civilizations can prosper.
  • Ancient Greece: Sparta
  • This is the tomb of a Pharaoh inside a pyramid built in Ancient Egypt. Ancient Egypt was a civilization built along the Nile River. Many of the technologies in Mesopotamia were improved here. They had one leader called a Pharaoh, who was believed to be half God. When they died, they would be mummified and put into the Pyramids.
  • Ancient Greece was built along a Peninsula, causing many city-states. Athens was one of them. Athens specialized in trading and they traveled along the world to get supplies and ideas. They prioritized education, and everyone had a very free lifestyle. They were the first city to use Democracy, where the people decide everything. Some say democracy is Athens greatest gift to the world.
  • Here in Athens, were proud of our amazing thinkers and ideas.
  • Sparta was a city-state in Ancient Greece. It was located in the mountains, and it was isolated from the other city-states. It was the complete opposite of Athens. In Sparta, all men had to become soldiers, and everyone was required to take classes for combat. They didn't quite prioritize education, and there were no festivals or games. Sparta would invade other places and enslave captured soldiers to grow food.
