טקסט Storyboard

  • In an advanced society where humans have the highest of immunities and advancements even the past can awe about....
  • Any questions regarding islands, class?
  • Yeah, so how exactly are they formed?
  • It all starts down at the bottom. In a divergent boundary, plates are pulled apart at a rift zone/ mid-ocean ridge by forces occurring in the mantle.
  • As the plates pull apart, the mantle becomes depressurized and starts to melt. As a result, the melted mantle travels up through the rift zone to the surface, creating a volcano.
  • Any other questions? If not, let us go to the next geological feature
  • *Snap*
  • In front of us, class, is the beautiful Himalayan Mountains of Asia. Isn't it beautiful?
  • Woahhhhhhhhhh
  • How did the Himalayan Mountains come to be?
  • In my hand is a visual of a convergent boundary. Which is what the Himalayans is. In this case, two continental crusts will collide
  • The upper portion of the continental crust is too buoyant to subduct into the mantle, while the lower part of the crust will subduct
  • As the two plates collide, the part that is not subducted will be forced to get pushed upward, creating the mountain shape we all know and love
  • Any further questions? If not, let us go to our last geological feature in San Andreas.
  • *Snap*
  • Can you guys sit down????
  • *Snap*
  • WERE WATCHING A MOVIE!!!
  • Sorry class, wrong San Andreas
  • Here we are at the lovely San Andreas Fault in the beautiful state of California
  • So why exactly are we here?
  • The reason I brought you guys here is because the San Andreas Fault is a real life example of a transform boundary.
  • Plates are neither created or destroyed, but will cause earthquakes.
  • In a transform boundary, two plates slide past one another, causing a fault between the two plates of the lithosphere.
  • Okay class, it seems like were experiencing an earthquake. WE NEED TO LEAVE NOW!
  • *Snap*
  • *Rumble*
  • *Rumble*
  • *Rumble*
  • WHATS GOING ON!!!!
  • Luckily, they made it back to their classroom safely. Unfortunately, the state of California has been struck by an earthquake that hit a 7.0 on the Richter Scale, leaving the state in destructionThe End
