One day, on her way home, Corrie ran into one of the soldiers that had imprisoned her. He had converted to Christianity and left the Nazis. Even though Corrie had been working hard to teach other people how to forgive the Nazis, she found that she could not forgive this man on her own. She prayed to God for strength and she was able to shake the man's hand and forgive him.
