- Jane gets humiliated by Mr. Brocklehurts after dropping a slate, and is told to stand on a stool while he tells everyone that she is a liar.
- Chapter 7
- Everyone! Jane is a liar and a disgrace to this school! Shun her!
- Chapter 8
- Jane explains to Miss Temple how she was treated at Gateshead, and she got Mr.Lloyd to contest to the situation. Miss Temple then declared to the school that Jane is not a liar, and she is a good person.
- Jane is not how Mr.Brocklehurts makes her out to be, she is a good child with good morals.
- Chapter 9
- Typhus is spreading around Lowood, and many girls are dying but Jane is continuing to live her life Helen then gets sick, but not from Typhus, and dies in the arms of Jane. Before her death she shares about heaven and how she is not sad that she is dying.
- Chapter 10
- Fast-forwarding 8 years later, Jane had been a student for 6 years and a teacher for 2. Miss Temple married and left the school, which made Lowood not feel like home to Jane anymore. She decided to apply for other jobs outside of Lowood, as Mrs.Reed says that she can do as she pleases.
- I need to leave this place for a change.
