in france jacobins lost power. french wanted to keep going and they took Napoleon, and he reinstating slavery, which sent Haiti into war again.

napoleon and toussaint agreed to terms of peace. then french invited Toussaint to a meeting then betrayed him and arrested him putting him in a ship to France (napoleon orders) and then later Toussaint died
