In our home town of Aleppo Syria, our home was bombed in the cross fire of the Syrian Civil War. My brother, my sister Hana, my parents, and I were forced to flee.

Our dad was the leader of our family and kept us all together. But my siblings lost all hope, especially Waleed. We went from Turkey to Greece to Austria, from one refugee camp to another. Seeking sanctuary from a devastating war.

We spent days getting a smuggler to boat us across the river into Turkey for it to only capsize. Waleed and Hana was younger than I (12) but only Hana couldn't swim. To save her life, our mother gave her away to another boat with no room left.

At last, we made it to Munich Germany, where we could start again. Here I met another refugee escapee, Ruth who vows to help us find Hana!
