- Could it be?
- During the 2020 LockDown, many students, including myself, were forced to learnasynchronously. Itwas really difficult for many students because they would often get distracted or need to learn by being hands-on. Still, in my case, I lacked the social lifestyle of learning.
- Miss Terry-
- In my junior year in high school, I had the opportunity to take English 1301 with Mrs.Vasquez, my soon-to-be Favorite teacher, at first, the course seemed boring and dreadful so I set every assignment to the side and prioritized my work rather than my studies. As a result, I was removed from the class but still moved up a grade level.
- In my Senior year, online learning was not a thing anymore so everything went back to normal. One day I was walking through the hallway I came across a familiar face, an ELDERLY lady in a scooter zooming across the hallway screaming at students to move. I thought to myself could that be the same teacher from last year that thought me English 1031, and yes it was.
- Eventually, I got the courage to introduce myself again and restore our friendship that had once existed. After a while, we would often sit down and talk about personal school business, it helped both of us to clear our understanding and also look at issues from a different perspective. With that said, she would often help me with my English assignments and essays and gave me tips on how to be a better writer.
- Because of this close bond with my teacher, I began to become a good writer, both in my personal scholarly life. I will forever be grateful to her because she had a significant impact on me and by future education.
