- They also mostly will form within the mid-south part of the U.S because of all of the flat lands. The reason they won't form around rocky areas is because it could break up the wind between the cold and warm.
- Do you know How, Where and Why Tornados form ?
- They form because of the cold wind colliding against warm wind also because of the time of the year; they won't usually form in winter weather, they will usually form in warm weather.
- They described this tornado as a Tempest with Gale Force Winds. As well as a Swirling Vortex. They can also read when a tornado is happening with the Doppler Radar.
- The most famous tornado was the Tri-State Tornado Outbreak. This tornado crossed 3 states and travelled around 225 miles, the tornado was considered a tempest because of how violent it was. It was considered a class 5 Tornado. This killed 751 people and travelled across Missouri, Illinois and Indiana.
- The classifications of a Tornado is called the E.F system(Enhanced Fujita) are 0-5. 0 is 65-85 Wind Speed, 1. is 86-110 Wind Speed, 2. is 111-135 Wind Speed, 3. 136-165 Wind Speed, 4. 166-200 Wind Speed, 5. 200+ Wind Speed.
