- I was going to! I had already packed my bags to see you in New York! But my family didn't allow me to leave.
- Did you ever receive the letter I sent to you from the war?
- Yes, I read it the day before my wedding. It made me so emotional. It even made me consider cancelling my wedding.
- Why did you get married without me? Why didn't you wait for me to return from the war? I thought we had something special.
- We did have something special! I really wanted to wait for you! But my family pushed me to marry a rich man. I'm so sorry. I love you so much!
- You still love me?
- Of course I do Jay! I've loved you since the first time we met and I will love you forever.
