- A house divided against itself cannot stand! This government cannot endure, half slave, half free!
- One fateful day in 1858__
- We're all with you Abraham!
- Lincoln's brilliant speech made him famous, and two years later__
- You did it Abe! You're elected president!
- Thank you, my friends!
- Mr. President! Southern Troops have taken Fort Sumter!
- Lincoln tried desperately to keep the slavery issue from splitting the country, but on April 12, 1861__
- God help us! The war has begun!
- Martha! Do you realize what Mr. Lincoln has done? We're not, slaves any more!
- In 1863, Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation...
- Free at last!!!
- Four score and seven years ago, our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in Liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created Equal...
- Then, months later in Gettysburg...
- This was the inmortal Gettysburg Address which today is familiar to every school boy!
