- In 1760, the British move from Quebec City to Montreal, advancing on three sides. They have 17000 men, while the French only have 2000. Levis wants to fight to the death, but Vaudreuil refuses. On September 8, 1760, New France surrenders Montreal, yet France is not worried about the loss.
