Oh.. you didn't know? The parade is for Zeus, as he is king of the gods.

ZEUS! We shall battle for your spot as king! You don't deserve it!

Falling Action
YOU IGNORANT FOOL! You are disqualified immediatly!
So Dense!
Out of anger (and jealousy) Poseidon challenges Zeus to a battle. Zeus is very confident in his ability, so he accepts. The only rule of the battle is to not hurt any humans
Conclusion
Anytime you see a heavy storm by the coast, Poseidon's hurricane, or spinning water cyclone, might just be around the corner. Some advice, try not to get so mad you create a hurricane.
Poseidon creates a hurricane, and Zeus thinks he is about to win the battle. Little do either of them know what Poseidon's creation is going to do to humans...
HAH! You see? I am stronger!
The judges disqualify Poseidon, as his new creation killed Several humans. This meant that Zeus remained king. Poseidon regrets what he did, but is still angry.
Zeus remains king, but Poseidon decides that during some storms, he will create a hurricane. This is a reminder to the gods that he was very powerful.
