- Rome owned all of Italy and they were a republic
- Carthage lives on the island of Sardinia, Corsica, and Sicily and has a strong navy
- The first battle was a naval battle Rome wasn’t very good on land to they built bridges to board the Carthage ships and kill the soldiers. Rome won and gained some land
- The second war was was the most famous one. The Carthaginian general Hannibal, used elephants to travel to Rome. When the Carthaginians got to Rome they were weaken and defeated.
- The third war was planned to wipe out Carthage. And thats what Rome did. The city was burned to a crisp and salt was poured so nothing could grow
- Rome gains the islands of Sardinia, Corsica, Sicily. Also expands into North Africa
