- Erikson's fourth stage of psychological development describes a child becoming capable of performing increasingly complex tasks. Children who are encouraged by others around them develop a feeling of competence. For example, Lisa was able to come to her mom for help on her homework before she started crying.
- Erikson's first stage of psychological development discusses an infant's ability to gain trust through the actions of parents. We see here that baby Lucas is smiling with the company of his father.
- Erikson's eighth stage of psychological development is the stage where people their later adulthood accept the life the live and reflect on their past memories as an accomplishment. For example, the couple above are both in acceptance to their natural death as they smile big for their last moments.
