It's like your brain is a super fast car engine that can make it hard to sit still or focus in school. But it also means you're full of energy and have lots of great ideas!
What did the doctor say?
She said you have attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. It means your brain works a little differently.

Dear Anna and Tom,I have noticed for the past 6 months that Max has had some difficulty in class. Max really loves science and while this is great, he often calls out answers in class. But in other classes, I see him daydreaming and this causes him to miss important information. He also is forgetful in class, sometimes not remembering where his backpack is, which causes him to get frustrated with himself. These behaviors are often common in children, but Max may benefit from additional support and a diagnosis from a doctor.Best,Mrs. Harper

Think about it like a car during a race. It zooms around the track for a couple laps, but then needs to go to the pit stop to change tires.
How is my brain like a race car? Is everyone's brain like that?
Your brain is the same way. It needs to check in at the pit stop every few laps so it doesn't wear out and has enough fuel to finish the race.
Other brains are like a spaceship. They have a calculated route and are steady. They don't need to come into the pit stop for a break.
