- Another day he was ready to do his job as a soldier. He wakes up early to get ready. His room can be seen in his ready -made uniform ironed. He also has a rifle, handguns and a sword in his bedroom. His medals, plaques and colored breast plates can also be seen here so she can prove that he is doing his job well.

- When he came out of his office, he could see that his fellow soldiers were also ready in a straight line.During the Martial Law era, what became the law was the soldiers. They can do whatever they want to people even if it is someone's wrongdoing.
- Ignacio loved his job as a Philippine soldier but when Ferdinand Marcos took office as president of the Philippines, Ignacio was shocked when Marcos apparently implemented Proclamation No. 1081 on Sept. 21 1972. He immediately remembered his family and worried about what might happen in the Philippines.

- All the newspapers, tv, radio seemed to disappear like bubbles.Ignacio planned to retire as a soldier at the time but could not because he had been in the country for a long time. High-ranking officials also told them that whoever planned to disobey any order of the president would not hesitate to take their lives as well as their families. Ignacio did not pursue his retirement plan for the sake of his family.
