- Mum always told me how exciting big school is! I have waited my whole life for this moment! I am so excited to make new friends and learn to read and write! I caught the bus to school! I was born in Australia, but my mum's side of the family have Indigenous heritage.
- Today is my very first day of primary school. I am not happy, even though I should be. You see, my mum and dad don’t speak English, they speak Mandarin, a language from China. We all speak Mandarin at home, and I live with my granny and grandad too. All the kids in my class will judge me and make fun of me. I am scared that they won’t want to be my friend.
- I am different from all the other kids, not like the others. I have dark skin and an accent and I hope that kids that don’t look like me will let me be their friend. I love to read and write and learn! Hopefully, kindy will be so much fun!!
- On Monday at 8 am, these 3 young kids hopped on board of the school bus ready for their first day of kindergarten.
- James spotted Ella and Mya sitting together and felt left out. Mya invited James to come to sit with them and decided to talk about their hobbies. On Monday at 8 am, these 3 young kids hopped on board of the school bus ready for their first day of kindergarten.
