- Sir, can we both enact a skit together to explain uses of metals and non metals?
- Anyone give me a example of the lesson we just learnt.
- Yes. I think it would make it more clearer for us even.
- 1) I wonder what this is made of.It is so hard to break!
- Where did she even get that probing stick.
- 2) Woah chill.that is made up of a metal.I think iron.
- 3) And for the part why u cant break it, it is one of the properties of metals.Metals have HIGH strength
- After thinking..
- 1) Interesting...I have heard that some metals can be broken down into thing sheets though?
- HehSurprised he remembered them in 5 minutes of class.
- 2) Yes, those are exceptions. Zinc can be broken down into thin sheets while potassium and sodium are the only metals known that can be cut my a knife easily
- 3) Well i know a bit about non metalsoxygen being a non metal is essential for our life which all living beings inhale during breathing.
- 4) Non metals like nitrogen are used in fertilisers to enhance growth of plants
- 5) So in many ways metals and non metals are useful and have their own properties
- I didn't even tell them about those properly, yet they understood.
- 2) Though some metals like iron sodium and calcium are essential for functioning our body too!
- 1) Metals are used to make vehicles for travel, Wires for for electricity, Coins for currency etc.
