- I have decided that we will move forward with the annexation of Hawaii after I conduct a brief investigation.
- Oh my goodness! This is not what I expected. These American businessmen had no right to cause a revolution! I must stop this.
- We will not be annexing Hawaii! I have investigated, and Americans are the reason for revolution in Hawaii. It is an unjust revolution that is not based off of popular opinion or suffrage! The Queen would not have surrendered had it not been for the threat of the US. I will be offering Queen Liliuokalani a treaty to reinstate her.

- Queen Liliuokalani, please sign this treaty. It will give you back your Queen status and government. However, you will have to grant amnesty to those who rose up against you.

- That is unbelievably unfair! This is Hawaiian country, I should not have to sign a treaty with the US. And what makes you think that they will not rise up again? I refuse.
