Today class, we're going to learn about Functionalism. Functionalism is the idea that shared beliefs and values are what hold society together. Personally, I believe that the function of religion maintains social order.

Sure! I was born in France, and I helped contribute to sociology in many ways. One way was by being the first to apply methods of science to the study of society. Another way was by help defining and establishing the field of sociology as an academic discipline. Now, I could talk about me all day, but class is almost over.
